My philosophy is to travel light and this list is all about light weight gifts for travellers and supports the idea of bringing only two carry-on items while travelling. By taking a carry on suitcase you will learn to your available space and minimize what you bring with you on a trip. 

For me, I carry a small backpack for my camera gear and my laptop and a few other items that I need to have handy enroute to my destination and then a carry on suitcase for my clothing, shoes and toiletries.
